Working closely with the landscape designer, Jack Dunckley, our aim was to turn this blank canvas into a unique outside space which could be used in the day time and the night time.

Jack and his team developed a fantastic concept for the client with a Tuscan courtyard theme. We wanted to provide the clients with a garden that was practical and low maintenance but also visually spectacular.

Here is the result of our work. It was important not to overload the space with light because a small amount of light can go a long way in enclosed gardens such as this one. This home now flows seamlessly from the inside to the outside and can be used throughout the year.

The uplighters along the side of the building help to highlight the intricate stone work on the outside of this stunning home. The uplighters are placed close enough to the building so that the light catches the edge of the stonework and casts intricate shadows across the wall.

Rather than lighting up the boundaries of this garden and creating a feeling of restriction, we used light to draw your eye to the beautiful details that were installed by the garden designers. These mushroom path lights for example, not only act as a visual aid, but also add colour and texture when placed alongside interesting rocks or plants.
